AiWriter Plugin Installation Guide for WordPress

Welcome to the AiWriter WordPress Plugin Installation Guide. Following this simple step-by-step guide will ensure a hassle-free installation process.

1. Download: Begin by downloading the AiWriter plugin from the WordPress plugin repository or by clicking here.
2. Installation: Navigate to your WordPress dashboard, then to "Plugins" and click on "Add New". Once there, choose the "Upload" option and select the downloaded AiWriter plugin zip file. Click on "Install Now".
3. Activate: After the installation process is complete, you have the option to activate the plugin immediately. Click on "Activate Plugin" to do so.

Configuration

1. To get started, move your attention to 'Posts' and click the 'Add new' tab (or you can revise any post you've already curated).
   • If you're using the Gutenberg Block Editor, you'll notice the 'AI' icon in the top right-hand corner of your interface. Give it a click! As you navigate further down, you'll come across the 'Your licence' area. Clicking on it will bring up a box where you can enter your CodeCanyon purchase code.    • If you're using the Classic Editor, you'll find a handy metabox called "AiWriter Settings" strategically placed on the right-hand side of your interface. Scroll down until you find the section labelled "Your licence". Click on it to expand it. Within this expanded section, please enter your unique CodeCanyon purchase code. 2. As you continue your exploration of the right-hand settings console, you will come across a section called 'OpenAI'. This is where your interaction with the vast resources of OpenAI takes place. In this section, you will be asked to enter your OpenAI API key - a crucial connector that bridges the gap between your AiWriter plugin and the OpenAI services. If you haven't already secured your OpenAI API key, you can do so effortlessly by following the convenient link provided here to start your creative journey with AiWriter and OpenAI.

An outline based on the title

If you find that the content area of your document is empty and you need help starting to write, you can use a special shortcut. Just start typing three plus (+) symbols together (like this: +++) and the AI will get you started writing by trying to create an outline based on the document title.

This feature helps you quickly create a basic structure for your content. Once you type the three plus signs, the AI will analyse the title you provide and generate an outline with suggested subheadings or key points. You can then refine and expand this initial outline to create your complete document.

This handy shortcut saves you time by providing an initial structure or starting point for your writing, making it easier to organise your thoughts and ideas.

Please note that using this shortcut assumes that you have already chosen a title for your document. Without a title, the AI won't be able to create a helpful outline.

Text completion

Imagine you've already started writing your content, but you need help completing a sentence or paragraph. In such cases, you can use the '+++' text completion shortcut.

All you need to do is place three plus (+) symbols together (like this: +++) at the end of the text you've written, and the AI will jump in to help you finish the rest. It will analyse the context of your existing text and make suggestions to complete the sentence or paragraph in a way that matches your writing style.

This feature is designed to save you time and provide instant help when you feel stuck or need inspiration to keep writing. By using '+++', you can rely on the AI to make suggestions and help you create cohesive and engaging content effortlessly.

Block Prompting / Block AI (Beta)

We're excited to introduce a brand new mode called 'Block Prompting' to improve your writing experience! Currently in beta, this feature is exclusively available in the WordPress Block Editor.

Block prompting allows you to edit text based on your own prompts, giving you a high level of customisation and control over your content. To access this mode, simply enable the 'Block AI' option in the settings panel on the right-hand side of the editor.

Once you've enabled Block AI, you'll notice a text box associated with each block. This text box allows you to write a specific prompt or instruction for that particular block. For example, let's say you have a paragraph block in English, but you want to translate it into German. You can simply type your prompt, such as 'Translate to German', into the text box and press ENTER.

With your prompt entered, the AI will use its language processing capabilities to follow your instructions and generate a German translation, giving you the desired result right in the block editor.

This 'block prompting' mode not only saves you time, but also allows you to customise and tailor your content to suit your needs. Whether you want to translate, summarise, paraphrase or perform any other specific action on a block, this feature allows you to do so effortlessly.
